“Clear Loadstone” is a
play on movement created
through light and texture.
The aluminum abstract
figure at the center blends
seamlessly into acrylic
panels. Because of the
shadowing and blurring
created through light,
the viewer is left with a
sense of disruption …
did the loadstone break
a panel, is it falling into
nothingness or did it
disrupt an otherwise calm
pool of water to create
ripples? How many
acrylic panels are there?
One must study the piece
thoroughly thanks to the
shadows cast by the clear
acrylic. This piece surely
challenges the viewer’s
perception of reality
