Lugufelo’s Story
Luis Fernández, known artistically as Lugufelo, is a metal sculptor whose work has transformed stainless steel into expressions of strength, movement, perseverance, and human possibility.
For decades, Luis created monumental sculptures for public spaces, businesses, communities, and private collectors. His work was built not only from metal, but from ideas—each piece carrying a story about the human experience.
In December 2025, Luis was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, or PSP. The disease has affected his vision, movement, and cognitive abilities, making it impossible for him to continue creating sculptures as he once did.
Although he can no longer work in his studio, the meaning of his art remains alive.
One of his most powerful sculptures, Champion, was created to represent strength, determination, self-discipline, personal growth, and the people who help us achieve our dreams. Today, those values reflect Luis’s own journey.
Every day, Luis continues to confront PSP with courage. He adapts to a changing reality, supported by his family and by the community that has been touched by his life and work.
Luis created the Champion. Today, he is the Champion.
Through this campaign, images of his original artwork are being transformed into apparel so his creativity can continue reaching people. Every purchase helps preserve Lugufelo’s artistic legacy and supports him during this new chapter of his life.
A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to CurePSP, supporting greater awareness, family resources, and research.
